Your life is always changing, and we have created benefits offerings to support you at every stage. Modine empowers you to put your family first with robust programs that give you more time and resources to take care of you and your loved ones.

Paid Parental Leave (PPL)

The addition of a new family member is an exciting time! It can also be overwhelming. Modine is proud to support families by providing time to bond and adjust to this new life change. Modine provides four weeks of Paid Parental Leave (PPL) to eligible employees following the birth of an employee’s child or the placement of a child with an employee in connection with adoption, surrogacy, or foster care. This policy runs concurrently with the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), as applicable.

Eligible Employees Include:

  • Employees working greater than 30 hours for 90 consecutive days prior to the qualified parental leave event date.
    • Union employees are not eligible for this benefit.

Maternity Leave

The childbirth recovery of your leave is covered under Short-Term Disability (STD). The STD benefit payment and duration is based on your benefit class and your leave type, whether it will be cesarean or natural. Generally, for a cesarean, you get eight (8) weeks and for a natural birth you get six (6) weeks.

After your STD benefit, you get four (4) weeks paid at 100% of your earnings for bonding under Modine’s Paid Parental Leave (PPL). PPL can be taken at any point after the medical portion of STD, but within 12 months of the birth. Any remaining weeks, up to 12 weeks, are unpaid and covered under FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), if eligible.

Listed below are the two methods in which you can file your STD and/or PPL with Lincoln Financial Group, our disability and FMLA administrator:

  1. File your claim online via mylincolnportal.com. First time users must register using company code: Modine
  2. Or you can call Lincoln Financial via Intake Line at 888.408.7300 and speak with an Intake Specialist

Employee Assistance Program

Our EAP provider, ComPsych® Guidance Resources®, has tools to assist you and your partner during pregnancy or adoption and after baby has arrived. The Guidance Resources program provides an array of comprehensive services such as GuidanceConsultants® and GuidanceResources Online. These programs are here to support you by answering questions, giving doctor referrals, helping you adjust back to work, and more! These confidential services are available 24/7 anytime, anywhere, by logging in to www.guidanceresources.com (Company ID: MODINE) or calling 844.816.6200 to speak with a consultant.

 Evidence-Based Integrated Care Plan

The Evidence-Based Integrated Care Plan (EBICP) provides enhanced dental benefits for those who need them most. This program provides additional cleanings and/or fluoride treatments to individuals with specific medical conditions such as diabetes, pregnancy, specific heart conditions that pose a risk to certain types of infection, kidney failure or dialysis, suppressed immune system, cancer therapy, and periodontal disease.

Building Healthy Families 

Anthem’s Building Healthy Families recognizes every family grows its own way. This all-in-one program can help your family grow strong whether you’re trying to conceive, expecting a child, or in the thick of raising young children. When you enroll in this program you have access to personalized support at every stage, including if you have gone through the process of adoption, surrogacy, or single parenthood. After you enroll, you have access to many tools and resources, including:
